Dev/dsp failed to open sound device

I don’t here any sound. My sound card is onboard intel chip and the drive
(snd_sof_pci_intel_cnl) is loaded and seems to be correct. What can I do?

Uwe

@unass Hi, is the sof-firmware package installed?

The firmware is installed. In addition to my question: I also get a pulse audio failure.
The connection is refused. But the reasons for both failures can be different.

What is the result of

inxi -Axxx

If inxi is not installed on your system you can install it (as “root” in a terminal)

zypper in inxi

To make sure you got the latest version do

inxi -U

Die neueste Version von inxi ist installiert gem. deiner Aweisungen.

inxi -Axxx gibt:

Audio:
Device-1: Intel Comet Lake PCH cAVS vendor: Gigabyte driver: snd_hda_intel
v: kernel bus-ID: 00:1f.3 chip-ID: 8086:06c8 class-ID: 0403
Sound API: ALSA v: k5.14.21-150400.24.46-default running: yes
Sound Server-1: PulseAudio v: 15.0 running: yes
Sound Server-2: PipeWire v: 0.3.49 running: yes

Er sagt zwar PulseAudio is running aber ich habe da meine Zweifel.
