YAST sometime highlights various installed files’ version numbers. Can anyone tell me what the various colours signify.
If you mean Red and Blue
Red: Can mean a package that is no longer available (it could have been removed or the repository that supplied it has been removed and no other repo in your list supplies it)
Red: Could also be a package that is a roll back as opposed to ‘Update’
Blue: Is a package that can be Updated
blue = a new upgrade for that package is available from the active repository used to install the present version. Not being blue does not mean a newer version might not exist from a different added repository.
red = the package installed is newer than whats available from the active repository or it can not be found from the orginal repository it was installed from.
Go to the versions tab for more information about any other versions and options you might have.
