Hi,
I’m preparing to install openSUSE 11.1. I think I want to go with the GNOME desktop environment.
What is the most “Apple Spotlight” like search facility available either pre-installed or after-market available to openSUSE?

I have no idea what Spotlight is like, but opensuse comes with Beagle, and
while Beagle is a pain at times and should be tuned it is really good at
searching most types of documents and files for you from chats to office
documents, from visited websites to PDFs. It is also integrated into the
environment so if you search from the Computer menu Beagle is utilized as
I recall.
Good luck.
