Desktop Screen Resolution setting

 openSUSE 13.2 (Harlequin) (x86_64)


AMD A4-4000 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics

I hope this is a really simple question.

How do I set the screen resolution?

Which desktop?? KDE, Gnome, other?

I installed the KDE desktop KDE Platform Version
4.14.4

That thread is dated sax2 is long gone.

In KDE open configure desktop. Go to Display and Monitor -Display configuration click the picture You should get a resolution slider. If the resolution you want is not listed then you need to add to xorg.conf a modline for the resolution you want. This may happen if the monitor is not communicating it’s resolution to the computer.
