Desktop Icons TumbleWeed KDE

how to make desktop Icon? I have some OpenSuse desktop icons like you see in windows with a transparent background and are interactive, on computer A. But on computer B My desktop icons have a white box around them and they are not as interactive or movable. How do I make icons with the transparent background like computer A on computer B?

Both Computer A and B have TumbleWeed KDE

Exactly like you could for the last 8 years (since KDE4).
Right-click on an empty space on the desktop (or left-click on the toolbox icon in the top-lest corner), choose “Desktop Settings” and set the Layout to “Folderview”.

Other options:

  • create a fresh useraccount
  • delete ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc (note that this will lose all your desktop settings/customizations)

The old-style desktop (which displays files that are in the desktop folder) is the default again in openSUSE.

Thanks for the fast reply… That resolved my issue
