desktop icons out of control after a crash

I had to issue alt-sysreq-REISUB and after the reboot, every time I add or remove an icon from my desktop, all the icons rearrange themselves. It doesn’t matter what options I have checked (or not) in Configure Desktop. Even if I check “Lock In Place” they rearrange themselves when I add or remove an icon to the desktop. This seems to be a persistent bug that turns up occasionally since 10.0 and I’m wondering if anyone’s figured it out?

It seems to be fixed. I think what worked was re-running codecs-kde.ymp and correcting the erroneous link to Pacman that it contains to point to the new Pacman site.
