Desktop effects work but comflict with window refreshing

Hi,

I recently upgraded to 11.1 from 11.0 to see if my wireless card would
be supported and I was glad to find it was. I got compiz to work and
installed manually the latest nvidia driver. The only problem now is
that frequently any windows (firefox, konqueror, compiz settings) don’t
refresh the content when I follow a link (click on a folder in the case
of konqueror) until I click on the title bar.
I would appreciate any suggestions

By the way:
AMD Turion x2, Nvidia 8200, 4G, suse 64 bit and atheros card, running
dual booting of Vista and SUSE (Both Gnome and KDE 4.1)
This problem wasn’t present in 11.0

I’m having the same issue when I enable 3D effects. Firefox will not
refresh/update the web content after I click a link. I would have to
click the tabbed window or main window header for the content to appear.

Installed my nvidia drivers via ‘The repository way’
(http://en.opensuse.org/NVidia#The_repository_way) without any problems.

I changed my resolution to 1600x1050@60hz Colors: 24bit. Also made
online updates right after the fresh install before I installed the
video drivers.

System specs…

Gnome
firefox 3.0.5.
Fresh install of openSUSE 11.1 32bit
Geforce 8600M GS.
Linux kernel -“Linux linux-q5l7 2.6.27.7-9-pae #1 SMP 2008-12-04
18:10:04 +0100 i686 i686 i386”-

Excuse my ignorance, I browsed all through these forums for a solution.
I’ve never messed with linux so this my very first stab at the OS.

having same issue here… also compiz crash using openoffice (when
scrollin with mousewheel)
actually a very buggy compiz :\
