Deskjet-F2200 is not printing

The Printer works when printing Test Pages.
I want to print an image on GIMP and, in the General TAB, appears:
Status -> /usr/lib/cups/backend/hp failed.

Assuming that the printer config is ok:

  1. Are you a member of the lp group? Type this command (as regular user) to check
groups

It may be that you need to add the user to this group via YaST> Security and Users>User and Group Management. (Find the relevant user, then edit).

  1. Also worth checking the status of printer
sudo lpstat -p
