desk top

I have been trying to install linux for years. I finally did it. Dual boot as well. I am a newbe to opensuse. I messed around with my desk top. I messed it up. How can get it back to its origanal state or default.

You can “start over” with your individual user by just creating a new
user and then copying over anything like documents that you’d like to.

As root:
useradd -m <newusername>
passwd <newusername>
#enter password a couple times
userdel <oldusername>
#and when done with the old user copying over anything you DO want:
userdel -r <oldusername>

You could also do all of this via Yast of course.

Good luck.

Thank you for your help. As i was doing what you said to do, I learned how to add a user and how to setup the desk top and panel. Thanks again.
