Dependency resolution for librpm?

I try to update my openSUSE system from 11.2 to 11.3. But I stumble on the following message.

Sonne:~ # zypper up zypper
...
Problem: libsnmp15-5.4.2.1-11.2.1.x86_64 requires librpm.so.0()(64bit), but this requirement cannot be provided
...

I wonder why the library is not found at the moment. (The command “rpm --query --provides rpm” shows that it is available here of course.)

Would you like to share any advices to resolve this dependency?

(I hope that further dependencies like Perl can be handled easier after the update for the software management tools.)

Not zypper up …, but zypper dup.

I can not perform a complete update so far because I get conflicts like the following for dependencies from previously installed software.

Sonne:~ # zypper dup
...

Would you like to contribute more ideas to fix such open issues?

How should the following issue be resolved?

How do you think about a reaction from a deletion try for the SNMP library?

Upgrading will take a lot more time than a clean install. The problems you’re meeting are the problems likely to meet when upgrading.
