Dependency resolution failed: problem with the installed libzstd-devel-1.5.7-116.2.x86_64
This is the error I am getting. Should I uninstall this prior to running the 343 system packages that need update? I’m pretty good about resolving these under Mint, but being new to Tumbleweed I’m not quite sure/confident in the resolution of this.
Show your repo list. This is no version from an official Tumbleweed repository.
zypper lr -d
Also always show proof of what you are doing. This includes the initial command, the terminal output and the next empty prompt. Paste the output in preformatted text tags (</> icon in the forum editor).
This error came from “Discover”. Sorry for not posting the full HTML of the error I copied from “Discover” (every forum has different rules!) So far I decided to try a “Zypper Dup” on the CLI and it seems to have resolved the problem itself.

Please use preformatted text when posting terminal output, as described. Also don’t hide the initial command, as described.
Beside that you use a lot of developement repositories, you have set them up all improperly. You need to enable auto refresh or you will run into more problems. You can enable autorefresh via YaST Software repositories or Myrlyn repositories or via commandline.
Since I am such a noob here, how do I do the “pre-formatted” text you ask for? I will try not to hide the initial command, it is long since habit to remove personalized information and unnecessary “fluff” when posting.
This is the full description:
Please, to make the pieces of computer code in your posts better consumable by technical oriented people:
And post as complete as possible. That is starting with the line with the prompt and the command, then all output, and ending with the new prompt line.
When you really feel you need to change anything in such a copy, then explain that in a comment, else we take all characters literally.
This is NOT a command. You omitted it.
Thank you. The help is appreciated (even if the link is off-forum docs). Now I will know how to do it. The help is appreciated ahead of any scalding received as it is NOT clear on this forum how to post such to make the more tech oriented happier.
You should ONLY use “zypper dup” to update TW, not Discover. Yea, if you have Flatpak(s) installed, use Discover to update those. But do the “… dup” first.
Tumbleweed is properly upgraded via Myrlyn (GUI) or zypper dup (command line).
Flatpaks are properly updated via Discover (GUI) or flatpak update (command line).
This doesn’t change anything at the improperly added development repositories. This needs to be fixed first.
Definitely have decided to do just that! Thank you!
Done! Thank you!
