Dependency for Canon Pixma 5220

I am trying to install this printer (pixma 5220). I found the rpm version from their website and it is the one that I used for openSUSE 12.01 with no problem. Now I upgraded to 12.2 and is asking for the following package but I can’t find the packages. Is there a way around this?

In this case, I think you could safely download and install libtiff3 package from 12.1 via

software.opensuse.org: Search

Hi, I have the same issue.
Tried installing libtiff3 as suggested above, but that package does not install; the error in Yast is “The following packages could not be installed”

You don’t mention how you tried to install it. (Don’t use the 1-click). Anyway, I’ve just checked software.opensuse.org again, and there are a couple of repos which have libtiff3-3.9.5 available. (I installed the 64-bit version with no issue.)

Thanks deano_ferrari, you nailed it.

It was the 1-click I was using that couldn’t install it. I installed from the downloaded RPM now and the printer works.

Good result
