When I log in, the update manager gives me this error (which will not go away regardless of what I do)…

How do I resolve this?

Run zypper from the CLI (console/konsole)
sudo zypper ref
sudo zypper lu
sudo zypper up
The first command refreshes the repositories, the second lists any
updates, the third will apply the updates.

I tried to proposal, but that seems to break more. Wouldn’t it be better to fix this at the origin?
I now own two machines that are affected by this problem. I prefer to skipt the kernel update and not to risc the graphics driver.
