[DEPEND] Dependency failed for Network Manager Wait Online.

2 days ago I notice the bolded message started to appear during boot:

...
  OK ] Started irqbalance daemon.
         Starting /etc/init.d/boot.local Compatibility...
         Starting Save/Restore Sound Card State...
         Starting SuSEfirewall2 phase 1...
** INFO ] Network Manager is not active.**
**[DEPEND] Dependency failed for Network Manager Wait Online.**
OK ] Started Permit User Sessions.
OK ] Started Name Service Cache Daemon.
  OK ] Started /etc/init.d/boot.local Compatibility.
OK ] Started Save/Restore Sound Card State.
...

But I am actually using wicked and I wonder where this came from. Earlier I had everything in boot saying " OK ]".

The only recent change in network which I can recall is: I ran YaST -> Instal Hypervisor and Tools where I checked KVM server and KVM tools and it created 2 bridged networks for me. However I deleted them right after that in YaST -> Network Settings so I actually see only my 2 physical ethernet adapters in there.

I don’t see any problems while working with the system but still this message makes me wonder what the reason might be.

Any idea what might have gone wrong?

I’ve been seeing that message for more than a year, mostly running opensuse 13.2. I’ve probably also seen it on Leap 42.1, but I haven’t looked for it.

As far as I can tell, it is a harmless message that can be safely ignored.
