Dell wireless Bluetooth Problem

Hi friends,

Am using Dell Inspiron 1545 and Dell Bluetooth headphone. When I try to pair these devices its asking pin number, but its not possible to add pin number in bluetooth headphone. Kindly suggest me how to connect these two device and hear the sound.

OS using : Opensuse 11.4
Bluetooth software : Default - Bluedevil

Thanks
Vinoth

I have been frustrated with my bluetooth mouse, though I eventually got it connected.

What worked was to use the bluedevil applet and set it to discoverable. If the device is on, turn it off. Then do a search for device, and immediately turn on the device (which typically puts it in discover mode).

Once I had it working, I could turn off the discoverable mode.

Some devices have preset (hardcoded) PIN like 0000 or 1234, you can try it.

Hi
You can also monitor whats happening with;

udevadm monitor --property

Hi Islezak,

Yes you right… My device took 0000… Thanks for your reply…

While we are on this topic, is there a configuration file that can be saved/restored, so that when moving to the next opensuse version we don’t have to go through the pairing all over again.
