Sorry,I’m not good at english.
I have a laptop of dell.
About Network Driver.
Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card
Is openSUSE 11.2 support it?
If not.How can I do?
Thankyou!
I suspect this device has a broadcom 4312;
If you go here
HCL/Network Adapters (Wireless) - openSUSE
you will see that there are two differing versions it seems of the 4312 that need differing drivers; you can decide which you have by reading the start of this thread; and interrogating your system
so you should be able to configure the wireless
Post the output of
/sbin/lspci -nnk
Hello st98vvv,
You apparently by mistake used the “Report post” button" (the red triangle). Thai is not the way to add a new post to your thread. Thast is done with the “Post reply” button below. For the others I will quote here what you said:
I need to download the software?
I passed the other software in the windows of detection.
The driver is Broadcom 430A/B/G/N/M
/sbin/lspci -nnk is sufficient to solve the problem?
and need software of network?
thank you!
Yes, and dude
we need to see the output
of /sbin/lspci -nnk
output of /sbin/lspci -nnk

The driver is already installed. You likely need to install the firmware. The
command “dmesg | grep firmware” should confirm.
Use the command “sudo /usr/sbin/install_bcm43xx_firmware” to do what the name of
the script suggests.
