Dell Vostro 3750 - Fingerprint Reader not configurable.

Hi,

I installed OpenSuSE 12.1 yesterday. I am trying to configure the Fingerprint Reader but the YAST fingerprint tool complains that it cannot find any readers. But they are detected.

That just means the OS can identify the device by its ID. If there’s no driver, you’re out of luck. Nag Dell about it. I know Validity Sensors does support Linux in general, they have built drivers for SLED, the “commercial” SUSE desktop OS by Novell.
