Hello, I really can’t figure what is going on, so I will just say it. My monitor started around 2 days ago to flicker; it happens around every 1 minute and it flickers twice, in very rare cases 3 times. It is not like going blank but more like a brief shutdown or detecting of a source. The monitor is a Dell IPS P 23.8" series, bought it around 3 weeks ago, no problems, and it is connected via DVI to a Asus HD6950 card. To the same card but via HDMI is connected a Yamaha AV receiver and to the AVR a Samsung TV also via HDMI.
Didn’t get any problems until recently when due to some power surge (got a UPS, protects everything, but shut down the TV and the AVR) the TV didn’t seems to recognize it’s HDMI in. Updated firmware, reset, swaped cables and everything was fine. But I still got the issue with my monitor; it didn’t appear at the same time though! Maybe due to updates.
I have something in the logs and it seems closely related:

it just keeps on repeating, I do use the HDMI for audio. But it doesn’t matter if I stop the TV and the AVR the monitor still flickers. Also I got intermittent sound out via HDMI (seems more one or another, the monitor and the sound) as I can see clearly how the AVR stops decoding signal.
In xorgs logs I get this which confirms it detecs the monitor at that time:
