On most of the laptops (new dell series) these systems have a dell 1501 1/2 mini wireless card in them.
if you have one of these and the wireless will not work. here is some hope. locate yast and in there open the software management now search for broadcom and within that list scroll down until you find the HYBRID drivers and make sure the kernel matches, install these and immediately perform a restart then make sure you wireless switch is on . it should work. most of these cards were designed to replace broadcom cards. you can now get hybrid drivers from the dell website as a zip file as well.
