Déjà-Vu 19.1 on OpenSuse 11.4

Hi!!!
First, sorry for my English… I’m from Catalonia (near Spain)

I want to try Déjà-Vu version (19.1), but in OpenSuse 11.4 is the 16 version…

I try to install by Experimental repositories, but with no good results…

Anyone can help me?? Thanks!!!

First, I hope you know there is a Spanish forum also at ForoSUSE - Desarrollado por vBulletin (though I guess it is not in Catelan).

Then you say “with no good results”. That isn’t much information for those here that might try to help you. Please explain more extensive what you did (which repo e.g.) and what went wrong when you tried to install and what you used for doing these things.

I add the Factory Repos of Pakman:
zypper ar -f -n packman Index of /suse/Factory/ packman

but when I install deja-vu:
zypper install deja-vu… still the same version.

I try to download a rpm package, but is only for Fedora and when I download the package, Kpackagekit says me:
** [PK_TMP_DIR|dir:///var/tmp/TmpDir.r2Aj2Q] Repository already exists.**

I do not know why you think that the package *deja-vu *is in that Packman repo. At least, I can not find it.

Also I can not find a package named *deja-vu *in the standard openSUSE repos (OSS and nonOSS). I can find a package named dejavu in the OSS repo, and it has version 2.32-2.1.

Thus I am lost when you say that

zypper install deja-vu

does install something. (please do also put your computer output between CODE tags when you post: Posting in Code Tags - A Guide)

I do not know if it is a good idea to install a Fedora RPM, but it may work.

I think I have seen the error you show here on the forums. It seems to be created by an interrupted install and you can try to remove it with

zypper rr PK_TMP_DIR

Do you mean ‘deja-dup’?

The site
https://launchpad.net/deja-dup
has v19.1. There’s a tarball you can download from there.

openSUSE has v16.1.

what is it that you want…i never heard of this program…i can see a
version 2.32-2.1 of Dejavu available for openSUSE 11.4, that is a LONG
way from version 19.1, so how many different applications have that
name…(and how many ways can it be spelled?)

can you please give us (me?) a URL to the maker’s web site…

Bad start. It is part of Spain.

No such thing.

cer@Telcontar:~> rpm -qa | grep deja
dejavu-2.32-2.1.noarch
