Deinstall Amarok 1.4

Hi folks,

I’m new here and in the Linux world and just installed my first Linux, Suse 11.1. So far, everything’s working fine.

I just installed Amarok 2.0 but forgot to deinstall the Amarok 1.4 packages prior to that. Can someone tell which packages I have to delete to have a smoothly running Amarok 2.0 on my Laptop? BTW, it’s a Lenovo SL300 P8400 C2D 2x2,26.

Help is much apprechiated.
Greetings,
d.

If you are using yast to view your software manager just type amarok in the search field. When it shows the files you already have installed simply right click the original amarok, select delete and and option will come up which will have you delete all of its dependencies. This is the easiest way to delete all packages associated with amarok, for me that is. I’m sure someone else with more linux experience than my feeble year will have a better answer for ya

there is no need to unintall amarok 1.4 - you have both the old one (1.4) and the nearly finished new one (2)
