Hi
The HyperSQL Database Engine (hsqldb) is already available in Tumbleweed? Are you try to create or connect to eg LibreOffice?

hello dear malcolm

thanks for the answer - i am trying to create to connect to libreoffice.

but i get errors all the time

hello dear malcolm,

the errors are the following…

the driverclass org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver could not be loaded the path for the
additional classes is file:///home/myname/documents/OOo/NT-…/hsqldb.jar

hmm - what to do!?

Hi
As far as I know (which isn’t much) you need to add the hsqldb.jar file via Tools -> Options -> Java first. It is built in, so try the system one?

hello dear Malcolm - many thanks for the quick reply…

i will look after this…

and - i guess that this following things are important too…
**

“Add, remove, or change a trusted location”
**
You should use a trusted location to store a file when you don’t want that file to be checked by the Trust

see: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Add-remove-or-change-a-trusted-location-7ee1cdc2-483e-4cbb-bcb3-4e7c67147fb4

Add a trusted location

Click File > Options.

Click Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Locations.

Click Add new location.

Click Browse to find the folder, select a folder, and then click OK.

Again see: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Add-remove-or-change-a-trusted-location-7ee1cdc2-483e-4cbb-bcb3-4e7c67147fb4

well - how to to that!?

look forward to hear from you …

Hi
I would assume since Windows has no security they need to lock it down,
on linux it depends on the file permissions, ownership and group(s).
