I don’t have to enter my root credentials twice, and it can be removed…
Oh boy, that’s embarassing - I looked for a Remove option in the list of printers, and totally missed the “X Remove” button in the individual printer’s setup dialog. Thanks for pointing this out.
And now that I tried to reproduce it, I also don’t have to enter the root password twice any more. That’s really odd.
However, the rest of my observations still stand.
Just for the record: Thunderbird and Firefox each have got their own printer dialogues different from system wide definitions. They always remember the last printer selected by default.
Yeah, this is about Qt applications and KDE Plasma 6 itself really.
