Opensuse adds a ton of customizations to emacs which come from "/etc/skel/.gnu-emacs". Recently, the config fails with the following error:
Symbol's value as variable is void: x-pointer-left-ptr
Apparently, this problem has been lingering for months: Error running emacs - #2 by seeking
Is this a known bug?

Given that the linked patch is from April this year, I am pretty sure there is no bug reported.
