I have some Sansa MP3 players (FAT32) with microsd expansion slots. They’re configured for mass storage mode. Every time I plug one in in Gnome, I get the message below:
Unable to mount x GB Filesystem
DBus error org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor.Failed: An operation is already pending
I had been getting this message as many as 50 times before deleting ‘~/.dbus’! Now, I see it twice, once for the player and once for the card. Once the messages are cleared, the players seem to mount “normally,” in that I can carry out file operations without any problems, and they’re detected by Banshee. No problems unmounting them. No problems on a guest account, either.
I don’t have any issues with other USB devices such as thumb drives. I installed LXDE as the default DE in 11.3 and don’t have problems there. Ideas where to troubleshoot?
