Scanned for new software this morning and found the OpenSuse team had built the new version of Darktable, which was only released on the 21st December.

It is nice you want to say “thank you” to somebody, but first this is a user to user forum and those you want to thank will most probably not read it and second, this is not a technical question and should be in the Open Chat section instead of Applications.
Will move it to from Applications to Open Chat.
