Just curious about this.
In many other online Forums, hovering the cursor over a message Title shows a small display box with a sentence or two of the msg. This works here only with a Search Results msg list, it doesn’t in any of the normal Forums.
Works here. Whenever I enter a (sub)forum and let my mouse ‘hang’ above a post, I get the first few lines/words. Only in post-listings yes. Tested by entering Announcements, hovering over first couple of posts.

I posted and hit the backspace to get to the Hardware Forum where I’d been and had done a Search so finding this anomaly, and the msg box displayed!!!
What it is in fact, my original surmise is correct BUT only if not logged in. Did a logout and clear browser, back here and no msg box.
