When the cursor is over a flash video or over many apps in openSUSE (like YAST) it disappears. (I believe YAST is a Java applet?) This does not happen over everything (I can move it over the taskbar without an issue). Changing the cursor theme makes no difference.

if you move it, it appears again right?
do you need to see it when it is not being used (moved)?
maybe it is a feature, and not a bug??
well, it happens here too…sometimes…i wish it happened all the
time…say, a few seconds after the cursor stopped it would become
invisible, and then pop back if i moved the mouse…
i’d like that.

I’m fairly sure this is something that will be solved when you sort the best option for your graphics driver.
I have seen the same behaviour when using the lower end basic graphics driver.
