I just installed CUPS-PDF on openSUSE 11.1 using the ppd file from adobe. However, I can not find the pdf-file on my computer after I print it.

Not sure but why did you need to install it? Most applications will print PDFs anyway.
“Most” application, but not all applications. Matlab for example doesn’t.
Haven’t played with matlab for nearly 20 years, but:
From what I recall, you should have a tmp workspace, try looking there.
If you have a formatted pdf, stry sending it manaully to the printer with a filter to output to lp say, if you have a ps printer.
Else pipe/send it to acroreader.

Take a look into /var/spool/cups-pdf.
If you have logging enabled, /var/log/cups should tell you where files are
being placed.

I know this is an old thread, but just in case anyone (in future) is having the same weird experience, I found the output in
** /var/spool/cups-pdf/username/**
