This is a recent Acer laptop which, though having numpad included, has no physical Page_UP/Down keys at all; instead it only has them mapped to the numpad’s keys ‘9’ and ‘3’ respectively.
I use Ctrl+PgUp/Down keys for tab navigation in almost all applications, but in GNOME and/or XFCE this doesn’t work at all with GTK apps or those which are part of the DE. To put examples, it works for, say, the web browser such as Firefox, but not for the Terminal emulator, Gedit, Mousepad, etc.
However the PgUp/Down numpad-embedded keys alone do work, as long as NumLock is turned off, of course.
If I connect an external USB keyboard though, everything works well.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Could someone help please?
Thanks for your attention.
