CRT Monitor Issues

I am having problems with my dual CRTs monitors. I can see my desktop, but it’s constantly flashing black really fast. It’s so bad, it hurts my eyes just looking at it for a few minutes. So, I have tried different models of Hitachi under Yast (I have a Hitachi v7000 and PCmonitor.com I think that’s the name of the computer) But there is no support for Model v7000. I had the same issue with OpenSUSE 10.3, but I just changed the monitor to the default for CRT. But there is no default in OpenSUSE 11 within Yast and Graphic Card settings where I pick resolution settings.

So, how do I fix this issue in OpenSUSE 11?

Specs:
OS: OPenSUSE 11
Video Card: ATI 9600 SE
Monitors:
CRT 1: Hitachi Model: v7000
CRT 2: PCmonitor.com (I think that’s the name of the company, I am not at home right now.)

Thank you for your time.

Got a manual? Monitor manuals normally list the frequencies and allow you to select the correct monitor manually, even if the brand/model isn’t listed.

Actually, both Hitachi v7000 and Micronpc.com (sorry, it’s not PCmonitor.com) are both hand me downs. Same with my ATI 9600 SE. So no manual for either the Hitachi v7000 and the micronpc.com

  • ocha,

google. Actually I couldn’t find information on neither monitor. If you have the FCC number, you could additionally try and search the FCC database:
