I’m curious abut it. I have a 3 yr old ASUS 1015E, which was a stock Ubuntu 12.xx system, I have since upgraded to a much more recent Ubuntu Mate. Everything works and its a great travel netbook, but I want some interesting times! In Ubuntu the only tool supplied for making a bootable usb device seems to only work with ubuntu iso’s; is there such a downloadable tool for OpenSuse?
Yes, it’s called imagewriter.
But, since Ubuntu ( still) is a linux distro, you can also use “dd”.
You can also just use cp to the device not a partition on the device.
Have a look at https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Live_USB_stick
