Hi,
I tried to create a backup bootloader on USB stick, but it failed.
I have a SLED 10 on my Lenovo ideapad and like to try other systems. Therefore I like to have a backup bootloader handy.
The formatting was successfull but no os was found trying to boot from.
What am I doing wrong ?
If yast isn’t good to do it, how to do it with command line ?
Thanks
Lothar

Just use the original boot CD.
SLED related questions go to forums.novell.com, so please ask there!

My Lenovo Netbook contains only a recovery DVD. So I cannot use creating other bootloader disks (USB/FD).
I need a manual approach, as of yast seems not capable to do that. I have read some instructions but I like to be save.
Is there a manual way for SLED ?
Could I use the openSuSE 10.1 install DVD to make this ?
Thanks
Lothar
