Creating and printing a document

Thank you for reading and possibly answering this question.

Does it exist a library (if possible gtk3 compatible) which allows you to create a document with header/footer, title, chapters, paragraphs, multi-columned text and so on, and print it ?

Of course I could use a formatter like latex or loot, but I’d prefer a shared library.

Thx again for answering if you can.

I’m not sure anyone can. Basically you want a word processor as a shared library. Of course there’s no reason why you
can’t call TeX libraries from your own customised implementation, but I really don’t see what is to be gained from
redeveloping LaTeX from scratch.

I haven’t used latex for over 15 years, when it was a standalone utility, only producing .dvi files. I needed something over cairo/pango, but if tex exists as shared libs, ok, let’s have a try…

Thx for the tip anyway…
