I occasionally look at dmesg
to see if anything looks like it could be changed or fixed, and then try some parameters to do it
I particularly don’t like any form of power-saving as it’s unpredictable for little gain (I’m already on a low-power mobile platform). I like theoretical throughput (pci stuff). Some stuff just sounds good and doesn’t seemingly cause any problems
