CPU frequency not the same as what should be

I’ve got OpenSUSE 11.4 running on an Intel Core i3 CPU (dual core, logic quad core, what I remember) and @2.13 GHz. Still, take a look at this :

I already saw this on Mandriva 2010.2 but only CPUs 1 & 3 were concerned. Is it bad ? If so, how can I fix it ?..

What exactly do you think is not right with the output? As far as I understand, the cpu MHz shows the current frequency at which the cpu is running. For example, I have a AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Processor which is currently running at 800 MHz, because I am just browsing the web and posting in this forum.

No, I am pretty sure that it displays the current frequency. You can test it by running some heavy application and then monitoring the frequency. I am just not sure how often it gets updated.

(compiling a kernel, listening to music & surfing on the Net…) Everything’s alright :slight_smile:

The /proc filesystem is a window into the kernel values so it should reflect the current state anytime.
