Hi
I will have a look at it for you 11.1, 32 or 64bit system? May not be
straight away though as we (and others in the area) are having major
internet/phone issues and it’s not looking at getting fixed properly
until late next week. Just keep an eye on the search engine at
http://software.opensuse.org/search?

Hi,
so far I can see it is doing it’s expected job.
This software is under heavy development and this version contains a known bug, i.e. GUI ( igotugui )can be used only by root (USB can be mounted by root?). But in terminal it works ok.
Above leads to a question; next version, 0,3? is told to come; is it asked too much if you keep on eye that and build it when available?
The reason I am not doing that by myself is simply; I am handless with softwares I can’t pull from openSUSE repositories. Neither I have experience about compiling softwares.
I sent a message to the developer team telling that you have built this and gave the repository address.

Hi
That is easily fixed, best is to create a udev rule (best), or chmod
4755 the executable.
If you provide the output from lsusb (as root user) showing the vendor
id and product id and also the output from dmesg when it’s plugged in. I
can add a patch to udev rules which should get it going.
Else run this command;
sudo chmod 4755 /usr/bin/igotugui
If you tell me when the next release is available in this thread, I can
update it

Hi,
tu for you assistance.
I run the chmod, the GUI pops up but if I try to do something, eg. ‘Info’ an alarm window pops up:
‘Unable to connect to gps tracker: Unable to claim interface 0 on device 0df7:0900’.
I wonder if there is something wrong with software. An other potential source of problem is my Thinpad T41; it has a problem that it doesn’t recognize USB2 devices anymore (this is typical problem for this IBM model, I understand) but if I remove the USB2 module (modprobe -r ehci_hch) devices are detected as USB1 devices and I can use them, slower but anyway. I need to test this in an other PC but can do that only next week end.Need to look the discussion pages of this software.
So, may be better you switch yourself on ‘sleeping mode’, I shall alarm if/when something is needed from you.
