I am not 100% certain but I am fairly sure that I have a corrupted hard drive. I was reading online about a program called DiscWizard? Is there an open-source alternative to this program? Any suggestions or tips would be more than welcome as I just want to rescue my hard drive and get back to Linux business as usual.
I formally dual-booted Win-XP and Ubuntu with some mixed results.
I am currently operating the OpenSuse 11 in my HP Pavillion 754n computer. I have modified it slightly (the ram and video card) so it is not the original machine that I purchased. No major changes but just enough.

Before doing anything rash, try running a file check in both Suse and Windows.
For Suse: e2fsck (see: man e2fsck) and assuming you use the default ext3 file
system. For Windows ScanDisk.
