Copy selected text from Thunderbird emails often doesn't work

Often I select text in emails with mouse button and use right-click to enter Copy from the top of the context menu .
But for a long time and several versions (and I think both on Leap and Slowroll), it often isn’t possible to activate the Copy entry on the menu. Possible this fails most often on long emails. (Ctrl+C mostly works).
