Converting OSuse 12.1 Gnome to KDE

I installed OSuse Gnome 64 bit v.12.1 from the DVD but due to a few resolved issues have decided to switch to the KDE Desktop Environment.

The purpose of this query is to ask whether a fresh installation or a modification of the present installation is likely to produce better results.

All constructive responses will be appreciated.

(Posted using the OSuse 12.1 KDE Live CD).

You can install KDE via Yast or do a new fresh install. Having both installed should not be a problem unless you are tight on disk space on the root partition.

When you get to the login screen, select Sessions to choose between KDE and Gnome.
