convert google earth to 64bit?

I’m running 64bit 11.1 w/kde4

I have downloaded GoogleEarthLinux.bin and I’m fairly sure its a 32bit
app. Is it possible to convert this to a 64bit? I havn’t been able to
find any info through google or these forums. Anyone have any incite on
this?

You can’t and you don’t need to. 64-bit Linux will run 32-bit apps just
fine. (Provided any required DLLs are installed, in the 32-bit library
directories.)

I can’t because it would require the source code, correct?

of course, you need to recompile it, and probably much more than that.
