Conversion from DVB-t record to avi

Hi, I’m searching for an application that helps me to encode/compress my DVB-T-recording-files (m2t) to a format like avi (xvid).

So far, I’ve found only avidemux but the files that came out have lost their synchronization concerning video and audio.

I would be also nice to cut and append video files.

Thanks for your suggestions.

You can also easily use avidemux to regain sync. I use it quite often to restore audio/video sync to files that don’t have it.
