currently on my laptop I am with kde. I’m noticing that the fan is more active now with Plasma 5 when I was until recently with KDE 4.
The more you hear is when I use the browser and it’s the same with Firefox than with chromium. Do you think that using another desktop and xfce or cinnamon can reduce fan noise or would it be more or less the same? I am adapted to kde and I like and would be a shame to leave it, … when the fan is more active it is when I surf and suppose with another desktop not appreciate much difference but not this insurance.
Not if someone has the experience of changing plasma 5 to another gtk desktop as xfce or cinnamon and has perceived the less hot laptop, but equally it is caused by navigation.
