So finally I found someone reporting about this matter! It happens to me just after regular updating, maybe two days ago, and what’s worse it continue loading the KDE desktop after clicking OK button, but there is NO network-manager running in the tray, as well as no KMix running sometimes and ALSA show some retarded warnings about PC speakers on side not used… Well, definitely I dunno what to do with that session error which shows up on the login screen.
Need to work out same issue:
-during the boot process at logon screen → ConsoleKit session error
-later within system → no KMix running from time to time
-retarded warnings → some side speakers are not used, ALSA want’s to remove 'em from settings or what ~
-in system tray too → no KNetworkManager running ?!
What I did:
-just regular updates
-and once ago removed ~/.kde4 dir with configs
Hi
+1
Hopefully when i turn off session, then on again, it comes ok as usual but i don’t know where this error is coming from, nor how to fix it.
Any ideas/tips please ?
Thanks
Well, I’ve changed one option in KDE’s Session Manager -> to start every-time with an empty one, and this solved KMix & sound at least. But what to do with missing network manager, hmm.
Hi
THis morning the error is no more after updates :
-reboot your pc : # shutdown -r now
Afer this i have no more errors
Hi all
This error is still happening sometimes :

that is a GREAT question…to try to answer it i used google…
of course, it always a problem to construct a useful search string
that gets the good hits but not billions of hits, so i used:
Consolekit session error, unknown “return code 0”
by putting return code results in parentheses i won’t get hits on
return codes other than zero…so you can see only 237 hits at
http://tinyurl.com/267opdr
no i didn’t read’em all…it seems by first glance that it is being
see by more than just openSUSE users which usually means it is not an
openSUSE problem, but rather a “Linux problem” or maybe another of the
thousands of KDE4 problems…
have a read and you may find a workaround…and, be sure to log a bug
if your reading indicates to you that it is an openSUSE only
problem: http://en.opensuse.org/Submitting_Bug_Reports
ps: i went to the extra trouble of explaining how i approached your
problem so as to give you the tools you might need in trying to solve
other problems you may have…
