console fonts corrupt with ATI binary drivers

This problem exists with ubuntu as well.

during boot, everything is fine. after the screen blanks because gdm is launching, and the login screen is displayed, switching to console displays corrupted screen with blurry and smeared fonts, making it unusable. Problem has been around since June with the older ATI drivers also.

Can OpenSuse escalate this to ATI fglrx team?
