Connection to online server keeps dropping

Hi. I’m using Suse 13.1 x86, on my Dell Vostro 1500. I have all Packman repos installed, and everything is up to date. My Firefox browser(43.0.3) was working just fine until an update a couple weeks ago. I now have a problem keeping a connection with many websites, including Youtube. The connection is initially made, then drops. I have to keep hitting reload in order to get it to finally load up the web page. A real pain in the rear. It has something to do with “security/TLS”, but I have no idea how to correct the problem. Using Konqueror is also a problem online, so there is a setting on my computer which is negatively affecting the server connections.

Thanks

More info about your network configuration would be useful here. Wireless or wired ethernet? Hardware details?

/usr/sbin/hwinfo --netcard

Just to start with, you could test with a couple of constant pings in separate terminal windows - one to your gateway, one to an internet address to see if they drop at the same time, or whether this just relates specifically to a browser issue

Hi
Maybe clear out your cache and cookies since there have been a few openssl updates, maybe have some stale info.

Hi there. Firefox deletes all cookies when closed, and I never use a cache.

Thanks For the reply.

Hi there. I’m using wifi. I have an HP wifi card which always worked perfectly.
