connection is there but cannot open websites

Hello,
I have seen some similar issues here in the forum but I am not sure if they are related.
I post seperately to avoid confusion there.

However, I have installed Suse 11.2 on my Asus netbook.
Network with cabel is ok, but as soon as I unplug, internet does not work.
I have a fritz box.

ping fritz.box does NOT work
ping 192.168.178.1 does work…

internet does not work.

ok, next the info in the system tray:
everything looks fine.
Status: connected
Nameserver is 192.168.178.1.
Seems about right.
Domain: fritz.box

Something tells me there must be something wrong with the nameserver…

I can see the following:

  1. You have two physical devices (eth0 and wlan0) on the same network 192.168.178.0. Make it two different networks.

  2. The default gateway is set to be reachable via eth0. When you pull the plug it’s just dead.
