I log on to terminal as superuser (su -) and went to “yast2 network”. There I found Atheros wlan controller and Ethernet controller (not configured). Then I edited and selected DHCP (automatic IP-address). After that the controllers tell not connected. I don`t know if I have configured right my network card. Also, should I configure the modem too? Plz someone help thx.
I tried this tutorial http://tutorialforlinux.com/2013/12/12/opensuse-13-1-how-to-enabletroubleshoot-network-internet-connection/ and set user controlled with network manager. After that there was “error not connected” and Warning! “Network is currently controlled by Network Manager and it`s settings cannot be edited by Yast. To edit the settings, use the Network Manager connection editor or switch the network setup method to traditional with ifup”. What should I do?

Well, you have to choose: YaST has control, or Network Manager has
control. You can not use both.

You may want to hit the “report” button and ask that this post be
redirected to the networking forum - this forum is for feedback/support
information on the forums themselves, not for openSUSE product support.
If you report it and ask for it to be moved, someone on staff will get it
moved (I’d do it myself right now, but I’m in the middle of packing a
house up).
