Connect to Windows Network

Hello All,
I work in an office where I am the only linux user.
I would like to connect to my office network but don’t know how. In Windows, I could see the computers listed in Network Neighborhood. How do i do that in openSUSE?
Also I frequently encounter my laptop hanging and i strongly feel that my OS security might be compromised. Could anyone please suggest measures that i can take to make my OS secure. Any docs that I can read regarding the same.
Meanwhile, i would also be looking out for articles and docs on the net.

Would appreciate your help.

To get started, you may be able to access shares via Dolphin file manager

That’s a separate topic. You are advised to start another thread with suitable description in the appropriate forum. Then you’ll get the advice that you’re seeking.

While I prefer using Dolphin’s ‘Network’ places to navigate the remote Windows shares I have to access in my work environment (with no configuration required), some users like to mount specific shares as explained here
