Conflict between libOpenCL1-32bit & nvidia-computeG05-32bit

Did a dup and Zypper is telling me there is a conflict between the incoming libOpenCL1-32bit-2.3.1-4.1.x86_64 and the installed nvidia-computeG05-32bit-470.256.02-64.2.x86_64. The computer is running Tumbleweed and the GPU is a GT 730. I’ve held off on doing a dup since installing the GPU and switching to the proprietary drivers, since I was concerned about this sort of thing.

Zypper is sitting at the Continue? prompt, and I’m unsure how to proceed.

Thanks,
Karl

There was a recent thread for the G06 driver.

Checking for file conflicts: …[error]
Detected 1 file conflict:

File /usr/lib/libOpenCL.so.1.0.0
from install of
libOpenCL1-32bit-2.3.1-4.1.x86_64 (openSUSE-Tumbleweed-Oss)
conflicts with file from package
nvidia-computeG05-32bit-470.256.02-64.2.x86_64 (@System)

File conflicts happen when two packages attempt to install files with the same name but different contents. If you continue, conflicting files will be replaced losing the previous content.
Continue? [yes/no] (no):

The G05 drivers differ from the G06 ones. You can remove libOpenCL1-32bit. It won’t uninstall the Nvidia drivers.

Thank you for speedy reply. In YaST, I made it taboo, and ran zypper dup again. It seems to have run without error. Now for the reboot.

Thank you,
Karl

Had issues between the Nvidia drivers and the kernel, and had to rollback. I guess I have some more reading to do.

Thanks,
Karl
